Brian J Webster
Professor Brian J Webster is a Professor of Nursing and an Assistant Dean at Edinburgh Napier University .
He has been a nurse for over 30 years and as a dual qualified nurse has worked in both mental health and acute medical/hepatology settings.
Brian holds degrees in politics, advanced practice and education. He is an experienced educationalist with a research interest in students who use and misuse alcohol during their time in Higher Education.
He is Chair of the Scottish Heads of Nursing and Allied Health Professions (SHANAHP as well as an Executive Member of the Council of Deans of Health UK.
Brian is a frequent speaker both nationally and internationally and his new book “Achieving Competencies for Nursing a Handbook for Student Nurses” (Reading & Webster 2014) has just been released.
