Jim Eadie (MSP) a seminar and discussion about LGBT people’s drinking in Scotland from 18.00-20.00 n Tuesday 15th December at the Scottish Parliament. The event coincides with the launch of a new report by Dr. Carol Emslie and colleagues from Glasgow Caledonian University which is available from December 8th.
The research (funded by SHAAP) is a qualitative exploration of LGBT people’s experience of drinking alcohol in Scotland which aims to provide a better understanding of the social influences behind LGBT people’s alcohol consumption and drinking behaviours and related outcomes.
The Parliamentary event will offer the opportunity for MSPs, professionals and members of the public to discuss the research findings directly with the researchers; engage with members of the LGBT community; and learn about the LGBT community’s experiences in relation to alcohol.
