The second support group of British Liver Trust and Scottish Families affected by Alcohol and Drugs will take place in Glasgow on Tuesday, 27th September. The group will take place in the Scottish Families office 3rd Floor, 226 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5RQ. The group will take place between 6-8pm.
Many people living with a liver condition find it helpful to speak to others and share experiences. Meeting face to face can really help and the British Liver Trust facilitates a number of support groups across the UK. These groups can be a real lifeline. The group will consist of social and fun activities as well as sharing information and receiving support from people in similar situations.
The Support group aims to support families who are affected by someone else’s alcohol and/or drug misuse and raise awareness of the issues that affect them. The support group will also provide information and raise awareness about the importance of liver health. The support group encourages the attendance of families and any other significant others who may be affected by an individual’s drug/alcohol misuse.
There will also be a unique opportunity to have a one- to one conversation with the Scottish families support Services on the day.
