SHAAP invites you to the launch of the report ‘Dying for a drink’ on alcohol mortality in Scotland.

There were 1,235 alcohol-related deaths in Scotland in 2017, and 3,705 alcohol-attributable deaths in 2015. The report was compiled over several months by an expert group and delivered to the Scottish Government in September 2018. It will lead work to enhance understanding of alcohol-related deaths in Scotland and will also inform the development of evidence-based services that will support prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery from alcohol-related problems.

The event will be held 12.30-14.00 on 26 October at Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh. A sandwich lunch will be provided, but please note that registration is essential to secure your place. Book your place here.
