SARN March 2021 Meeting – Research presentations

The two research presentations from the SARN Members’ March 2021 Meeting are now available, which were presented on 9 March 2021 via Zoom.


Professor Niamh Fitzgerald and Dr Isabelle Uny (University of Stirling) presented: “Managing COVID-19 transmission risks in bars: can pubs and bars effectively and consistently prevent COVID-19 transmission risks?”


Dr Andrea Mohan (University of Dundee) presented: “What can we learn from the perspectives of repeat drink-drivers? Findings from a qualitative study”.

The two research presentations from the SARN Members’ December 2020 Meeting are now available, which were presented on 7 December 2020 via Zoom.


Dr Hannah Carver (University of Stirling) presented research on Managed Alcohol Programmes: “Investigating the need for alcohol harm reduction and Managed Alcohol Programmes for people experiencing homelessness and alcohol use disorders in Scotland”.


John Holleran (Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs; SFAD) presented his MSc research: “‘Constantly just holding it up and together’ Exploring Adult Family Support in Scotland”.
